F*CK Trump

In the last four years of this administration, I’ve felt a lot of things.

I’ve felt shame. Embarrassment. Disgust. Hopelessness. Shock. Disbelief. Disappointment.

I’ve felt unsafe. I’ve been mocked, belittled, strawmanned and gaslit. I’ve lost friends. I’ve distanced myself from family because it’s easier than seeing them support a man that has actively worked to destroy rights for anyone not white and rich- even with overwhelming evidence proving his immature- and, frankly, sociopathic- nature. I’m disappointed because while before I thought their support was due to ignorance, I now know they’re fully aware of the horrific person Trump is and don’t care. And in fact, ENJOY it. I’m wrecked that people I respected support him for his hatred.

Mostly I’m sad.

So let me tell you why I voted for Joe Biden for President- and why no matter what happens on November 3rd, I'll be proud of the fact that I did.

Joe Biden hasn’t made comments about grabbing pussies. Joe Biden didn’t get caught funneling children’s charity money into his own account. Joe Biden didn’t call the pandemic expert an idiot which caused enough death threats that Dr. Fauci needed a security detail. Joe Biden believes in science. Joe Biden doesn’t blame everyone else for his own gaffes. Joe Biden takes responsibility for the things he’s said in the past. Joe Biden openly cares about his wife and children. Joe Biden doesn’t want to take away LGBT+ rights. Joe Biden won’t take away protections on women like me. Joe Biden believes EVERYONE should have access to healthcare, not only those with jobs. Joe Biden wants to be EVERYONE’S president, not just ones who support him. Joe Biden didn’t refuse aid to a state (or the American people, hello!) because they don’t support him. Joe Biden doesn’t care if he loses white supremacist votes, and he doesn’t call them “very fine people”. Joe Biden didn’t allow nonconsensual hysterectomies on the migrants at the border. Joe Biden didn’t allow Russia to put bounties on U.S. soldiers’ heads and do nothing about it when they were carried out. Joe Biden didn’t hype up his followers to encourage kidnapping plots on Democratic mayors- and he didn’t continue to do it after the first attempt was thwarted. Joe Biden doesn’t make up disparaging nicknames for people he doesn’t like. Joe Biden doesn’t make up racist nicknames for people he doesn’t like. Joe Biden doesn’t support Amy Coney Barrett’s (you know, the religio-freak who wants to take away all forms of birth control and IVF- guess I’ll never know what having a kid is like!) nomination. Joe Biden doesn’t act like an actual toddler when asked…literally any question he can’t answer by fawning over himself. Joe Biden’s Twitter account doesn’t read like a 13-year-old girl’s with anger issues. Joe Biden doesn’t mock death. Joe Biden CARES that there are 220,000+ dead Americans.

I’m voting for Biden because I don’t want my president to grab women “by the pussy”, or think it’s okay to “just start kissing them”. I don’t want my president to call the military “suckers and losers”. I don’t want my president to make fun of the mentally handicapped or disabled. I don’t want my president to mock science. I don’t want my president to knowingly put people in danger. I don’t want my president thinking he has the right to control my body. I don’t want my president to think he’s above the law. I don’t want my president to embarrass us in front of the entire world.

“It is what it is.” And “I don’t take any responsibility at all.” –Donald Trump, when talking about the over 200,000 dead from COVID

I want my president to CARE about human lives. One with EMPATHY.

Donald J. Trump’s campaign is openly and proudly supported by notable names such as: Ted Nugent, Kanye West, the MAGA hat kid, Mark and Patricia McCloskey (Suburban G.I. Joe and Jane), Scott Baio, Stacey Dash, Kid Rock…I’m sure you can find quite a few more real winners. Oh, Herman Cain did too but he passed away after attending one of Trump’s superspreader events and contracting COVID-19…because he refused to wear a mask. (His Twitter account is still actively encouraging people to go maskless and he’s been dead for 3 months).

Oh, and his personal lawyer is this guy.

Enough said.

Biden’s campaign is openly and proudly supported by notables such as: President Jimmy Carter, Colin Powell, Cindy McCain, Samuel L. Jackson, Green Day, 50+ activist groups including Humane Society of the U.S, VoteVets, and Voto Latino, numerous labor unions including American Postal Workers Union and American Federation of Teachers, Scientific American, League of Conservation Voters, Alliance for Retired Americans, and National Nurses United, and a ton of notable Republicans.

Scientific American’s statement: "Scientific American has never endorsed a presidential candidate in its 175-year history. This year we are compelled to do so. We do not do this lightly."

Donald J. Trump has been president for the last 4 years. The Trump campaign’s new “This is Joe Biden’s America” slogan doesn’t exactly work when you’ve been the one in charge throughout all the unrest. He's now refusing to commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses. When will his supporters open their eyes? Can they genuinely not SEE his insanity? Are they blind to his unfitness for office? Is pride more important than country? How long into this madness will they finally stand up and say "enough"? And more importantly, will there be enough time to stop it before it happens?

I’m ashamed of our country now, and I’m ashamed of the last 4 years. This election is DIRE. These are the reasons why I voted for Joe Biden, and I humbly encourage you to do the same- for the sake of our country.

Be on the right side of history- because history will not be kind to Donald J. Trump.
